Glenn’s training style is excellent. You feel at ease and are not afraid to ask questions. The course takes you logically got through data management from less user older methods to newer more efficient methods that give the trainee a picture of the benefits or weaknesses of each method. By sticking to a process the course avoids going off reservation into the weeds, yet allows some dialogue on off topic subjects. One of the best aspects is the insight into different methods that have been gained from years of experience. This saves the trainee a lot of pain wrestling with approaches that might not be the best. Not only is the course a great training aid it is a transfer of a lot of experience. That is worth its weight in gold. Although mainly database centric, the course touches on other subjects that Wx products are capable of. I hope more content on other capabilities of Wx products get added over time as this course have convinced me even more, this is the best all round development suite out there. I thoroughly recommend the online materials as well as the investment of a 1 on 1 course. You will not regret it. ... then along comes the training materials from Glenn.  As a beginner, I started through the manual and it was pretty slow going. Then I discovered the (optional) "streaming videos" that go with it.  Holy Crap, Marie! I'm now two hours into the training and the knowledge blanks that have been filled in are amazing.

There is so much stuff in this....If you are serious about WinDev and don't rate yourself at "8" or higher, you will get value returned in both money and time. This is especially true if you are coming from Clarion.

Glenn & I finished up our last session the other day with a short demonstration of "indirection." This is the first time I have understood (even a little) the purpose. I look forward to expanding on it. Dave Schwartz

"I am new at WinDev, and was really having problems getting my program off the ground.

It is extremely difficult to be productive when you are not familiar with Windev navigation, but still need to be productive, especially when you are under the gun for product.
